Ronald Kessler is the McNeil Family Professor of Health Care Policy professor in the HMS Department of Health Care Policy. For the past fifteen years, he has been developing prediction models to try to pinpoint who is at risk of suicide and determine the best ways to help them.
“This is exactly the time that the kinds of models we've developed are needed, where we can pinpoint people at risk, get the right treatments to the right people in the most efficient way," he says. He talks about his research and the potential impact of funding cuts in the video below.
